1. Animal- a mammal that is a living thing other than a human being

2.Pets- any domesticated or tamed animal that is kept as a companion and cared for affectionately 

3.Government- a branch or service of the supreme authority of a state or nation, taken as    representing the whole

4.Support- to maintain (a person, family, establishment, institution, etc.) by supplying with things necessary to existence

5. Help- to give or provide what is necessary to accomplish a task or satisfy a need

6. Fund-a supply of money or pecuniary resources, as for some purpose

7. Abuse-to treat in a harmful, injurious, or offensive way

8. Love-a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection,

9. Adoption-the act of adopting

10. Money-any circulating medium of exchange, including coins, paper money,

11. Shelter-something beneath, behind, or within which a person, animal, or thing is protected from storms,missiles, adverse conditions

12. Affection-fond attachment, devotion, or love

13. Starvation-the act or state of starving

14. Care-temporary keeping, as for the benefit of or until claimed by the owner

15. Euthanize - to put down

16. Pound- a place for abandon animals

17. No-Kill- where you dont kill animals

18. Spay-Nutter- keep animals from reproducing 

19. Abandon- don't belong to anyone

20. Donations- where people give money on their own free will

21. Vaccination- give animal shots

22. Dog- type of animal

23. Cat- type of animal

24. Neglect- to not show care, to beat

25. Pitiful- cant help thereself

Animal Shelters Need Help

In this video, the Animal Shelter manager explains that running a shelter can be very hard without being funded. On average, she states that it cost about $315 dollars per pet that comes into the shelter. I support this video because, from experience with my county's shelter, donations are not making enough money to support the animals that are brought in. If the county or government would fund these shelters, people might realize that these shelters are not just a dumping ground for stray dogs and cats. The shelters need all the support and help they can get. Forfeiting out $315 per pet takes a huge effect on the profit of the animal shelter. The shelter needs more money in order to supply for every animals needs. The community should also help out on supporting the shelter by advertising the animals that need adoption. The community should also come together to form grants to get the animal shelters funded by the government.
